In addition to its traditional base in Mumbai, where the University has been since its inception, a new campus has been opened in Hyderabad and Bangaluru keeping in mind the ever-growing demand for more seats and better infrastructure.
SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University’s Mumbai Campus is conveniently located at JVPD Scheme, close to the Domestic and International Terminals of the airport in the financial and commercial capital of the country, Mumbai. It has seven Schools in its ambit with each School operating like an independent business unit and having its separate infrastructure.
NMIMS has expanded its base to south India and started their first operations at Bengaluru in 2008. Now it further expanded its base and started operations in Hyderabad in 2010. The corporate landscape in India is dotted with great companies both global and Indian MNCs and there are lakhs of middle to senior managers within Hyderabad alone having over thirty thousand upwardly mobile, technology savvy midlevel managers.
SVKM has set up a host of schools and colleges during the 76 years of its existence. The recognition obtained in 2003 from Government of India in the form of deemed university status was an important landmark in the development of SVKM’s educational activities. By setting up the campus in Bangalore in 2008 and subsequently in Hyderabad in 2010, the transition of NMIMS from being a Mumbai centered university to a pan India University was complete.
