STUDENT GUIDELINES – I year (Full Time Programs)-2012-14 Batch

Event: Inaugural Day- B. J. Hall                                                         Date: Monday 11 June 2012

Students Registration: 10.00 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.

  • You are required to be present on time on Inaugural Day i.e. Monday 11th June 2012 and to be seated inside B J Hall by 10.45 a.m.
  • At the time of registration, you will be provided with Time table for Preparation & Orientation, Case binder, group list for various activities, course structure , Time Table for regular classes etc.
  •  The Dress Code for the Inaugural Function is Formals.
  • Wearing your Identity Card inside the Campus is a must. Make sure that you receive your Identity Card from the Library within 5 days of your arrival. Original fee receipt will be required for preparation of Identity Card. During registration on 11 June, temporary I.D cards will be provided to you.
  • Mode of Communication to the students is via Black Board and Notice Boards.
  • It is mandatory to attend the Inauguration followed by the Preparation & Orientation Programme. The absence will require the approval from the Dean SBM .
  • Carry at least 10 copies of your passport size photographs (as you would need them for completing various administrative formalities, such as for receiving Identity Card, Library Card, opening of Bank Account, etc.)
  • Make a few sets of your important papers/ documents, such as medical insurance, Doctor certificate, identity papers, etc. and carry them in separate luggage (in case stolen or lost).

An M. Phil & Ph.D in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, she started her career as a faculty (Economics) with BES college under Calcutta University. She has been faculty with reputed business schools across India since 2004. Alongside teaching she has been a full time researcher. She is expert in trade modeling and has been working on international trade issues since 1997. Dr. Sikdar extensively researched on India-Bangladesh and India-Sri Lanka trade dynamics and published number of articles on it. She attended and presented papers in number of international & national conferences related to input-output modeling, GTAP, CGE modeling etc. Dr. Sikdar completed several studies on behalf of Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India and for United Nations Asia- Pacific Research and Training Network on Trade (ARTNeT).
